I have been checking out a lot of the products that are part of the Kicker marine speakers’ line lately and thought I would share them with you guys. We have checked out a lot of waterproof speakers here on the sight and now it is the turn of Kicker. After checking out their website, I can say that Kicker has one of the most impressive selections of marine audio gear I have ever seen!
With that being said, let’s get ready to “rock the boat baby” as we take a closer look at some of the more popular marine speakers that Kicker offers.
Extra, Extra, Hear All About It
I want to touch on this before we get into our reviews. While on places like Amazon and eBay, you can find the actual speakers very easily. It is worth noting that if you check out the Kicker website you can see that they have many other marine audio products. They have all kinds of extras. As well as speakers, you can see subwoofers, amplifiers, radios, and other accessories like remotes and cables.

If you want the ultimate Kicker Marine speakers kit, you have come to the right place. I am checking out a handful of the most popular speakers that these guys offer to share my thoughts and opinions on them with you. I have picked two that I feel are more “traditional marine speakers” and another two that I feel a tad different.

I am starting with a bang with this awesome Kicker White OEM Replacement Marine 6.5″ 4Ω Coaxial speaker Bundle that is currently being sold for $145. As you can see, you are getting a Kicker marine speakers kit that contains four speakers with this purchase. So the asking price is very reasonable if you break it down into a “per speaker” kind of thing. These are 6.5-inch in their size and that is perfect for most boats. I like the white design of them as it gives them an element of class and I am sure they will fit in pretty much any way you want. If you want them to be a bit “flashier” you can spend an extra 100 dollars and get a different colored grill as well as some LED lighting too.
These are certainly going to keep the party going on the boat that is for sure. Kicker has used a very impressive woofer and driver combo here so even at louder volumes, you will have some excellent clarity. You will have to break them in a tad, but that is part of the fun of getting a new set of speakers for your boat. I will say that out of the box, the sound quality was very rich. Oh, a nice little bonus you get with this (well as of writing) is that Kicker is throwing in two beer koozies which is awesome!
Pros:

- I feel that the asking price is very reasonable
- They offer some kick-ass sound!
- They throw in two beer koozies!
Cons:
- You do have to pay a lot more for the LED lighting
- Smaller boats may not need four speakers
What Other People Are Saying
The reception of these is very positive when you do some digging online. If you check out the Amazon customer reviews for these, you will see for the most part people are impressed. One review had this to say, “Just replaced all of my boat speakers with these and they sound terrific! I paired them with the Kenwood KAC-M8005 amp and it’s a perfect match”. As I write this these marine speakers are sitting at 90 percent 4 and 5 stars when it comes to their review score and this is from close to 300 reviews!
The fact that you get four speakers in one set makes this a great purchase. I know that most people are cool with just two, but if you feel like at some point you will want four. Stop screwing around and just buy this set as it may save you time, money, and hassle in the long run. They look cool, sound great and the asking price is more than fair.
2. Kicker 45KM84L 8-Inch Marine Coaxial Boat Speakers
For $199.96, we have this awesome Kicker 45KM84L 8-Inch Marine Coaxial Boat Speakers set. The first thing that caught my eye with these was the style. These have a really cool design to them and the fact you get a white and black grille really makes them stand out. I will admit that for me personally the black grille is the way to go, it is nice to have a bit of variety. These are a bit bigger at 8-inches so they are more suited to those of you who want speakers that are a tad bigger. They do have LED lights, but unless you purchase the Kicker remote control you cannot control them! As cool as the lights look, I am not sure I would want to spend extra money just to change them!
When it comes to the best Kicker marine speakers kit, even though this is just the second set we have looked at, I feel this is my favorite. I am a rock guy and these things freaking rock! Kicker has used some fancy tech in regards to the insides of these, and I am not just talking about the driver, tweeter and so on. Everything about this is high quality and it gives you a very rich and real sound, even without breaking them in. I will admit I did not expect that much more out of these over their smaller brothers, but I was very surprised and happy.
Pros:
- They produce fantastic sound
- The sound has a real “kick” to it if you know what I am saying
- Black and white grilles give you choices
- They are pretty awesome in every regard
Cons:
- They do cost close to 200 bucks
- They want more money just for a remote!

The official Kicker YouTube channel has a great video showing off their speakers so be sure to check that out. On Amazon, these do only have around 50 customer reviews as I write this. The good news is that 90 percent of these reviews are rated at 5 and 4 stars so for those that have purchased these, they seem to be very happy with them.
I am a big fan of what Kicker is doing and I love and I mean love these speakers. While I think the sound quality is awesome and very impressive right out of the box. As well as the sound, I also love the design of these things. They have a really high-quality kind of “heavy metal” look to them that I think is really cool and would look great on any boat. I know the whole having to buy a remote thing is not cool, but even if you do not have the LED lights, these look great.
3. Kicker KB6000 2-Way Full Range Indoor Outdoor Marine Speakers
Next up we have these very interesting Kicker KB6000 2-Way Full Range Indoor Outdoor Marine Speakers which I have not personally tested, but I thought they looked very interesting. These do not have that “round” design most of us think about when we are talking about speakers for our boats. These come in at around 120 bucks and they are available in a few different colors. The ones I liked were the grey design as they are rather unique. They have a kind of tannoy thing going on (all be it with a grille) and that is what caught my eye. They certainly will stand out that is for sure, if you like that is really down to your own personal preference, but I do.
These are 6.5-inch speakers and when reading the “specs” what caught my eye was how Kicker were very proud of the compression loaded horn tweeter that they have used in each speaker. I do not doubt that these things will kick some serious butt in the sound department. Kicker has designed these for marine use in mind, but they do also claim you can bring them inside and they would work as bookshelf speakers too.
Pros:
- They have some very impressive tech inside them
- I love the design of these things
- You can choose between three different colors
- Great for indoor as well as outdoor use
Cons:
- The black ones are a couple of bucks more!
- Some people might not like the boxy design
What Other People Are Saying
With over 400 customer reviews on Amazon, these are some of the more popular Kicker marine speakers I have come across. “These speakers have survived the hot, humid, rainy summer and now have survived the snowy wintery cold. This past weekend I headed out back to begin spring cleanup and prep so I kicked on all the speakers and everything worked without a hiccup. Still love these speakers.” This shows that these are in it for the long haul with you! They are sitting at a ranking of 91 percent 4- and 5-star reviews as I write this!
These things are really, really cool. I know that we are looking for a Kicker marine speakers kit with the idea of using them on a boat. However, with these, you are getting the best of both worlds. While I am sure they would be great on any boat, the fact you can use these around your pool or even in your home makes them very diverse which for the asking price makes them even more attractive in my opinion.
4. Kicker KMT674 Marine Speaker Tower System
Last, but by no means least we have this very interesting Kicker KMT674 Marine Speaker Tower System. Which I know is a tad different from what we have been looking at, but that is the point. I know that many of you are looking at that over 600 bucks price tag and thinking, no thanks! However, if you have a lot of play money and want to play, I think these are worth taking a closer look at. As you can see these are a speaker tower system and they look freaking awesome. The black and the chrome go together very well so they will look awesome once they are set up.
While the asking price may seem high, you are getting two units here so in total you are getting for 6.5-inch speakers that will rock your socks off. These are designed for loud music so if your boat is a bin on the noisy side, you are going to be fine with these. I am sure from what I have read that the sound quality is going to be excellent. I would love to get my hands on these and put them through their paces with a bit of Motley Crue!

- The design has a very modern look about it
- You get two units
- Four speakers are what this set offers!
Cons:
- The asking price is a bit high
- There are some very mixed reviews for this online
What Other People Are Saying
These only have a handful of reviews on Amazon and the over half of these are for 4 and 5 stars. One review had this to say, “Sound great, you can really hear the sound about 100 feet away from the boat and while wakeboard/skiing. Mounted on the top of my center console. They are big though.” Which I think says a great deal about these. There may not be a lot of reviews out there for these, but many of them are positive, but there are also some negative so be sure to read them all.
I would love to be able to have some fun with these! The Kicker KMT674 Marine Speaker Tower System sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun. As someone who enjoys listening to music very loudly (when his wife will let him of course) these could be just what I need. I know the asking price is high and the reviews are somewhat mixed, but I do feel this is worth taking a closer look at.
What Is The Best Kicker Marine Speakers Kit?
I have to say that I really love the Kicker 45KM84L 8-Inch Marine Coaxial Boat Speakers. These things look cool and they sound great as well. They will certainly let you rock out while you are on the boat. I know expecting people to pay extra for a remote to control LED lighting is not great, however, apart from that I really love these. The Kicker White OEM Replacement Marine 6.5″ 4Ω Coaxial speaker Bundle is also very easy for me to recommend as I feel you are getting a lot of bang for your buck with these speakers.
